Pickler lived in a challenging environment. At the age of two, her mother abandoned her to get away from the abusive marriage. Pickler was reunited with her mom in the year 1995 after she assumed custody. This did not go as planned. After Pickler reached the age of 12years old, the court transferred her to her maternal grandparents which raised her to adulthood. Pickler had to take care of her kids without parents. The mother of three confessed to her that in absence of her parents Pickler had no time to take classes. In the meantime, she began in the process of learning to look after her family at an earlier age. Pickler was the cheerleader at the middle and high school.
