Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress and songwriter for a number of years. Sara Ramirez was brought up by her American mother and was subjected to a variety of racist taunts and made her feel unwelcome. After entering a ninth-grade school audition where she was praised for her voice as she built confidence. It not only increased her confidence, but also her goals transformed. She graduated from New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. Her professional career began when she was 23 years old, appearing in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. In the Broadway original production of Spamalot she portrayed The Lady of The Lake and won both the Tony Award as well as critical praise. The following year, in 2007, she was a cast member on the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more famous. As a well-known singer, she has also released a single as well as an extended play. In her role as an activist, she works tirelessly to promote LGBT equality.
